There is legislation that is being pushed forward that would cut all (ALL!) funding for bicycle and pedestrian related projects. The small amount of money that is dedicated to making roadways safer, more efficient, and more sustainable, would instead be diverted to bigger budget endeavors such as more and wider freeways. This is on the heels of a report that showed that recently cycling transportation has been increasing (good!) as well as pedestrian fatalities (bad!).
Tell your representatives that cutting funding for transit, walking, and cycling is unacceptable. It only takes a couple of seconds and will be one step towards ensuring a happier journey through life.
