There is legislation that is being pushed forward that would cut all (ALL!) funding for bicycle and pedestrian related projects. The small amount of money that is dedicated to making roadways safer, more efficient, and more sustainable, would instead be diverted to bigger budget endeavors such as more and wider freeways.
